What does emissions testing cost?
The price depends on the engine, test scope, access and location. Request a quote with the vehicle or equipment details and the result or document you need. Further diagnosis and repairs are discussed separately.
Diesel emissions testing questions
Can you test a diesel generator or machinery?
Enquire with the engine make, model, operating hours and site location. We confirm whether the requested test is suitable for the equipment, along with access and operating requirements, before arranging attendance.
Is emissions testing the same as DPF cleaning?
No. Testing assesses an exhaust emissions concern; cleaning removes deposits from a suitable filter. If the concern is DPF restriction, we can discuss mobile DPF cleaning or off-vehicle DPF cleaning after assessment.
Can a test identify why my diesel is smoking?
Testing can contribute to an investigation, but smoke alone does not identify one failed component. Engine condition, operating circumstances and diagnostic checks may also need to be considered before recommending repairs.
Can you meet a specific compliance or reporting requirement?
Send the exact test specification and reporting requirements before booking. We need to confirm suitability and the scope of any documentation. A general emissions assessment should not be assumed to satisfy a separate certification requirement.
What should I send with my enquiry?
Include the make, model, engine, kilometres or hours, symptoms, warning messages and location. If another organisation requested the test, include its written requirements and your preferred timeframe.
